Another day means another Wordle puzzle for fans to play. Today's word is an odd one; players may not be quite familiar with this word or how to spell it properly.

How To Play Wordle

Wordle is a simple word puzzle game that must be played in a browser. Although many of the New York Times games like Wordle would be great for consoles, it is not available for them. So in order to play, fans will need to head to the website to get started. The game has fairly basic rules too; players just need to guess a five-letter English word in six tries.

While there are many strategies for winning Wordle, players can choose just about any five-letter starting word they wish. Once they type it into the NYTs Wordle website, the letters will change color.

  • Gray letters are incorrect.
  • Green letters are correct.
  • Yellow letters are correct letters in the wrong position in the word.

Using these color-coded hints, players have five more guesses to get to the right word. Once the player guesses the word or has no more tries left, the puzzle is over and the Wordle menu will pop up. In this menu, players will get to see their stats, including number of puzzles players and win percentage, as long as they use the same browser and device every day to play.

There is just one Wordle puzzle every day, and it resets to a new word at midnight local time. And these are the rules. There are a lot of copycats and clones of Wordle that have slightly different rules, including a new 25-letter-word version of Wordle called Longle.
